Hi Prokofy Neva,

that's right. We're in the real world.

The bad taste behind all that issues is, that the trademark SL was grown up and became more and more popularity, because the community with their SLxyz-Domains promoted Second Life and Linden Lab, like SLInfo, SLInside, SLInworld, SLTalk and all the others. So the open-community is obviously responsible for the added trademark-value, as well - not only Linden Lab and the PR-Strategy alone. Here is the question, how to handle this issues in a good way.

For my site www.SLTalk.de, for instance, i'm strongly interessted in finding a cooperative way, instead of destroying the added value, which was build up over 2 years of hard work.

So, why not finding a constructive way with joint-ventures, cooperations, a partnerprogram etc. to increase added values, instead of destroying it?

I hope, that Linden Lab will find this way, to create a new world, based on the power of new paradigms, such as the thinking behind web 2.0 and a really free, internet based, demogracy. This does not mean, to forget making money !

reagards,

No, you're all wrong. Welcome to the real world, which isn't a socialist paradise. Companies get to protect their trademarks.

It's not all a subbotnik, Mr. Tao. Somebody always has to pay.
