I just came about this video where Johnny Chung Lee of the Human-Computer Reaction Interaction Lab shows us how he utilizes the Wiimote to do headtracking. The results are amazing!
Now how cool would this be to be used in Virtual Worlds? Of course the client would be needed to be patched but it actually should have all necessary information.
As a sidenote: The 3D Lab of University of Michigan has also worked on bringing more 3D to Second Life with it’s Stereoscopic Viewer Patch (press release here as PDF).
