@Kaliya I really would like to join but I guess it will not be in Europe, will it? Thus it's a bit unlikely that I will make it. Not that I wouldn't be quite interested in participating as there seem to be many great meetings these days.

I think this is a clear articulation of a path forward articulating steps and levels - so it is not all or nothing. I hope you will join us at the Data Sharing Workshop & Summit and perhaps even the Internet Identity Workshop were the tools to make this vision real will be discussed face to face.

@Peter I just created some slides about DP for the Barcamp. I will be there in any case, if you come, please email me.

@Elias Thanks :-) I hope our collective thinking will lead to some results but I think both things are important: a specific approach for individual fields and some more general guidelines which lead us to solutions for these (hopefully).

Yes, I describe a scenario for a kind of openid for identities. Well, I have to continue working ... Actually, I'm not quite sure having time left for the barcamp at weekend but I will notify you ...

Well, from what I hear there were some objections against running a central server. It makes esp. sync much more easier. With central I of course mean not central for everybody but like openid, you can choose your masterserver.

Maybe this also still makes sense in a business model. I actually guess it does as it will create competition.

But this post was not so much about technical details anyway but about a process to finally get to work on the technical details ;-)

Looking forward to have a look at your work. I hope you will be in Essen at the Barcamp so we can talk about this (planning a session about DP actually).
