At the snowsprint in 2007 Balasz and others from the KSS team started to work on something which involved pushing data to a web page. Instead of polling every few seconds to check if the page has changed they started to experiment with a twisted server which would simply send KSS commands to the page and updates it. Thus it might enable you to edit a page collaboratively and see the changes of others immediately.
The project wasn’t finished back then but some work was done at the latest Plone Conference sprint in Naples. Gogo showed us some nice demo where some Plone logo was painted via that push model. Quite cool indeed.
Now while browsing slideshare.net (a site I really dig!) I found this presentation which seems to be about a similar topic so I thought I share it with you :-)
